Typical Grid-Tie

The Energy Trust of Oregon incentive for purchase and installation of grid tied photovoltaic electrical power is $1.00 per watt installed ($100,000 max). Additionally businesses get considerable tax credits. Small businesses, farmers and ranchers are also eligible to apply for a USDA REAP Grant.

As a contractor/dealer I discount the Energy Trust amount off of the total costs and have to wait until the system is running and inspected before I get the rest of the money. An Energy Trust inspector as well as the building inspector must approve the installation and power output. This is to make sure you get a quality system that will produce power for years with virtually no maintenance.
