Al Walker
Founder and CEO
As our founder and CEO, Al Walker brings his energy and passion for energy independence and solar energy to our company. Al built his own solar powered off grid home and has 15 years of off grid living experience. Al attended Ohio State University and graduated from Southern Oregon State University with a degree in Social Science. He worked as an administrator of a Rehabilitation Workshop for the disabled and received business training at Seattle University. Later he obtained his masters degree and ran his own counseling service in Roseburg for many years. His enthusiasm as a teacher of community education solar design and log home building at Umpqua Community College, prompted his students to convince him to become a solar contractor in 2003. He has the business training and experience to guide the company. Al is a Nationally Certified PV Installer, which means he has expertise in proper design of PV systems.
